Growing up, I had an older sister who was obsessed with her Barbie dolls. As a younger brother, I never fully understood why she was so passionate about them.
One day, out of curiosity and a bit of mischief, I decided to see if her dolls could fly by throwing them out the window from our 14th floor apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Needless to say, my parents were less than thrilled when they found out what I had done!
I learned that day that it’s important to respect others’ passions and interests, no matter how strange or unusual they may seem at first glance. It was an unforgettable lesson for me as a child and one that I still remember today.
