I’ve always had a passion for teaching the art of photography when I can. In 2003, I had two new interns and I wanted to teach them about the power of opposites in photography. After discussing the topic, I decided to show them.
We spent an entire day doing research and making sketches that illustrated how opposites interacted with each other to create compelling images. We explored how colors, textures, shapes, and lines could be used together to create dynamic compositions that were both aesthetically pleasing and emotionally powerful. T
he result is my version of Yin and Yang.
